Our Vets are telling us that this fall they are seeing a higher than usual occurence of fleas and ticks. Please make sure your pet is protected. For the safety and comfort of your pet, and our other guests, please treat your pet prior to their stay.
We are sorry but we will not be accepting new dogs (dogs who have never been to Wagging Tail Ranch before) from November 1st, 2017 thru January 15th 2018. If your family pets have been to Wagging Tail Ranch, we want to be sure that we have room for you over the holiday season. Cats will be accepted as space permits. Greetings! We are Jim and Christa Guenther, owners of Wagging Tail Ranch. We are excited and honored to serve our community through the care of their pets.
Wagging Tail Ranch LLC, is located just minutes from the interstate and a short drive from Menomonie, Eau Claire and surrounding areas.
We offer a fun and secure boarding experience while your pet is away from home.
We accept a limited number of dogs and cats for boarding to ensure each guest receives an abundance of love and attention.

Checklist For Your Pet's Stay
Please call or email to inquire regarding availability. Summer months and holidays we are often booked 3-4 weeks in advance.
If necessary, update your pet's vaccinations 3-4 weeks in advance of their stay and email or send copies of records to us for your file.
If your pet has separation anxiety, please talk to your vet about options that may make your pet's stay more pleasant for them. Most pets do very well for 3-4 days, however, pets with anxiety may require additional emotional support especially for longer stays. We will do our best to keep your pet comfortable and distracted. Consider bringing something for your pet to chew on such as antlers.
Please leave large, expensive, or difficult to clean items such as beds, blankets, duffle bags and back packs at home. We have limited storage and these types of items may become safety hazards to staff and pets. Please be aware that some dogs find it necessary to mark their territory on almost everything, including your property. Occasionally, something may need to be washed, removed or separated from your pet. Please notify us immediately if one of your pet's items does not make it home.
We provide stainless steel bowls, blankets, korunda beds, and litter boxes.
Please bring your pet's dry food and treats in a plastic or rubber container, coffee can, ice cream bucket, vittle vault, or other hard sealed container that is clearly marked with your pet's name. NO FOOD BAGS or ZIP-LOCK BAGS please. Accidents do happen, and we would hate to have your pet's food spilled all over the floor.
Please bring extra food for your pet, pets rarely eat like they do at home. Pets play hard and sometimes need extra food to maintain their weight or your return may get delayed. A sudden change in food/diet could give your pet stomach distress if we have supplement.
Please bring any medications your pet requires in a Daily Pill Planner clearly marked with your pet's name. Please also bring the original labeled containers with them in case we need to identify the medication.
Your emergency contact should be someone who is NOT traveling with you. This should be someone who you trust to move or care for your pet in the event of an extreme emergency. We would always try to contact you first. However, cell phones don't always work in all areas. Please leave your pet with a back-up plan should we be unable to contact you.
